A creepy good time.

People who hate the documentary style of movies like "Paranormal Activity" and "Blair Witch Project" will probably find themselves hating "The Last Exorcism".Do I hate the style of which this movie and others like "Cloverfield" were shot? I didn't mind.I can only recommend "The Last Exorcism" for people who can sit through documentary style movies. Those people may find themselves a lot more shooken to their core than they might expect. This is a chilling and extremely creepy effort into mixing "The Exorcist" with "Blair Wtch Project".It may be one of the scariest movies of the year.I actually yelled "Oh sh*t!" when I jumped out of my seat. That happened maybe 2 times and I know the audience got the scares they were looking for.Don't go in this movie thinking it's not going to be a hard-PG-13 rating. Some parts left me wondering what the MPAA was thinking. There's a scene where the girl possesed by the demon takes the camera while everyone else is asleep. She goes to the barn, finds a cat, and massacres it.You also have a pretty disturbing scene involving a ritual.A women gives birth to a demon baby, and this thing really knows how to scream like a demon. The cult then throws the baby into the fire with the loud shrieks of the baby being heard while it's being burned alive. The MPAA may be stupid, but this movie sure isn't.I found myself cringing in my seat with the creepiness of the movie's atmosphere getting under my skin. The ending of the movie definetly could've improved.Pretty much everyone in the theater groaned loudly once the end credits struck the screen.I didn't hate the end because these movies always don't end the way we want them to.Besides from that, "The Last Exorcism" is a very creepy and startling horror movie that does you almost no good if you wait to rent it on dvd.Trust me, see it in theaters for the true experience that I had.

Grade: B+
