Madea goes to Jail
September 19, 2010
Tyler Perry should seriously go to jail for this.
What's the difference between a good drama and a Madea movie? A Madea movie doesn't supply with what it's supposed to deliver. This is the reason why I didn't care for "Madea's Family Reunion".It was boring. It didn't feel like a Madea movie. Her character was overcrowded by everyone else so it was hard to care for her character.Maybe Tyler Perry is just the wrong choice to make these kind of movies.I liked "Why Did I Get Married Too" becuase it delivered what it set out to be.He doesn't do anything here. One major problem with the movie is the fact that it takes about an hour to show us Madea commiting the crime that leads to her getting arrested.Get this, Madea actually arives to the prison at the 70-71 minute mark and the movie is an hour and a half. What's even worse is that Madea is in jail for pretty much a short 10 minutes. Her plot is thinned out by a boring story revolving around a prostitute and this man who's trying to help her.I thought this movie was called "Madea Goes to Jail".It shoud've been called "The Life of an Unintersting and Boring Hooker" if Tyler Perry knew that the audience would want more of Madea.I've seen 1 good movie from him and 2 that I haven't cared for.Mainly for this movie, I would'nt give a crap if Perry got in a car accident or he lost his carrer.Just to be sure that he never gets what he calls his life, let's just hope this guy gets involved in an accident that involves serious injury or even death.I know I sound mean right now, but Perry simply isn't that good of a film-maker.It's also a shame to see worldly famous people like Dr. Phil and Whoopi Goldberg in this crap.Whats next? Is Oprah going to play as an abused hooker in Perry's 25th film? I sure hope he stops before then."Madea Goes to Jail" doesn't have enough laughs to be called a funny movie and it doesn't have enough screen time for the cruel but entertaining character. It starts off ok, but the lack of Madea and the amount of boring characters and story makes the movie get progressivly worse as it goes on.2 of my fiends actually liked this movie. They even both thought it was funny.Where's the gun? I don't want to kill myself.I want to kill the man who poisoned my friends' minds with this melodrama crap. That's right, I'm talking about you Tyler Perry.
